Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
A FEW QUICK REMINDERS
LAY READERS
I just wanted to alert you to the fact that lay reader certificates are good for three years. Several were issued at last year's synod. Those are, of course, valid for two more years.
However, if any layman needs a current certificate, please let me know. I will print it and bring it with me to synod.
EMBER DAY LETTERS

EMBER DAY LETTERS
Ember day letters are due by tomorrow!
However, given that synod will happen in less than a week's time, I am extending the deadline for two weeks. Until then, I likely won't have the time to either read or respond to them.
For those who have sent them in already, my thanks.
CLERGY HUMOR AND THE INTERNET

CLERGY HUMOR AND THE INTERNET
Alas, attempts at humor on the internet usually fall flat. I attempted some humor with regard to vesture during my last message. This troubled a couple of you, who thought I must be speaking (or writing) "ex cathedra". Relax: don't go out and buy a gray suit! I would much prefer that you attend synod than worry about whether you are properly attired.
Please know of my prayers for you all.
+Brian
